Originally from Queens, NY, Dr. Adelstein is a powerhouse dentist near Bourne who offers exceptional care, service, and results to her patients.
A graduate of Temple University School of Dentistry, she entered private practice in New Jersey, living there for 25 years with her husband and two girls. Alongside her spouse, the two owned and operated three dental practices, two of which focused on general dentistry. The other was designed to help those who needed dental care and who suffered from sleep apnea.
Dr. Adelstein is a Diplomate in the Academy of Clinical Sleep Disorders Disciplines and has a Masters in the Academy of General Dentistry.
After moving to Cape Cod several years ago to be near her daughter, she is pleased to be a part of the Canal Side Family Dental team.
Dr. Danielle Burgess
General dentistry wasn’t the focus for Dr. Burgess. Instead, she became intrigued by the field of periodontology, which is why she is pleased to serve as the in-house periodontist near Bourne for Canal Side Family Dental.
After earning her bachelor's degree in microbiology and cell science from The University of Florida, she obtained a master’s degree in medical science from the University of South Florida. She went on to enroll at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for her Doctor of Dental Surgery before completing a periodontics residency at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine as well as a Master of Medical Science in oral biology.
Dr. Burgess’ time spent in the field doesn’t just include our dental office. She previously worked in various community health centers and private practice. She has experience working as a dental assistant, dental hygienist, and dental researcher – positions she claims have given her a clear and well-rounded view of the field.
As a periodontist, she aims to provide patient-centered, evidence-based care, and she remains a staunch advocate for increased access to dental care for all individuals within the community.
Dr. Lauren Black
As a dentist near Bourne who earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of New England in Portland, ME, Dr. Black is a dedicated and talented general dentist.
Her credentials include a bachelor’s degree in communication arts from the University of New Hampshire as well as a dental assisting certificate from Northern Essex Community College. There, she graduated magna cum laude.
In addition to her educational pursuits, she maintains a clear passion for her patients and being able to provide the highest level of quality care in the area. Dr. Black is also a member of the American Dental Association and the Massachusetts Dental Society.
